The rivers of Chile are world-renowned for their beautiful scenery, exceptional whitewater, and the warm culture that surrounds them. We will spend three weeks in-country, running stretches with Class II-IV rapids, depending on the ability-levels of our students. Members of this expedition can expect to travel and camp in some of the world's most stunning locations. Potential rivers include the Rio Claro, Rio Teno, Rio Achibueno, Rio Ñuble, Rio San Pedro, Rio Trancura, and Rio Fui... just to name a few. Chile is stocked with clean, dazzling rivers that are just right for practicing both surfing and river running skills.
Other activities may include hikes in the stunning Andes mountains, and visits to local markets, sights, and other attractions. If you love to kayak and are looking to improve your paddling, this is the perfect expedition for you! There are only a limited number of spots on the Rivers of Chile 2010 course, so it is important that our future leaders submit their application early. By planning ahead, it gives students time to raise funds and work out logistics for joining the expedition. Click here to apply now! Want to see what an expedition to Chile might be like?
