At the Alzar School, we are committed to helping as many deserving students as possible join one of our expeditions. There are many different ways you can help support the Bierle Scholarship Initiative. In October/November 2007, Sean and Kristin rode motorcycles to Mexico to raise money for the fund. We also have various Alzar products available for sale, with proceeds benefiting the scholarship fund. And, of course, we accept straight donations.
The funds raised in 2007 were able to complete sponsor one Chilean student on our “Rivers of Chile 2008” expedition.
In October 2007, Sean and Kristin rode their motorcycles from El Paso, TX to southern Mexico, and back! Along the way, they brought donated school supplies to a school for indigenous children in Copper Canyon. This expedition also functioned as a scouting trip for future Alzar programs to the region. Generous donors pledged money per mile Sean and Kristin rode, as well as sent along school supplies. Click here to read more about this expedition.
